Ok I'll be honest, I was debating between RnB or Grime to highlight for this week's Throwback Thursday. But then I read an article Tuesday morning in The Metro, where they had an interview with the Blue Eyed Bandit aka Robin Thicke. Now the headline to introduce Robin was something along the lines of "He has a number one song with Blurred Lines............."
So I read the article as a supporter and it was a pretty good read. I respect that he didn't wish to do the reality singing competition for a second season as it's just a recycled type gig and done it partially due to the further exposure it gives his singing talents.
I know The Metro are only doing their jobs and covering whats hot and poppin, but Robin has been making dope music since '06. Pharrell kept singing this guy's praise so I had to check out the guys music, I introduced to jams like Cocaine, Teach U A Lesson, Superman and of course Wanna Love U Girl just to name a few.
That was it man I was sold on that album, but I found out The Evolution Of Robin Thicke was his second album , he been around before that with his debut album A Beautiful World. To be fair with the title The Evolution, I should have worked out he had another album.
Dude has hits like Sex Therapy, Brand New Loves Jones, Shooter ft Lil Wayne, Magic, Tie My Hands, Meiple, Diamonds (The list is super long).

Suppose that's how the industry works sometimes it takes a perfectly crafted radio hulk smash like Blurred Lines to appear for people to pay attention to an artist. I hope this record allows people to do their research and check out some of the earlier hits Robin has shared through our speakers.
Salute to Robin Thicke and hurry up with album number 6 please. It's kinda like winter already over here in the UK so that album couldn't come any sooner to help with the baby making season.
