Sports: United Shaky Start Ends Soon

Glory Glory Man United, Glory Glory Man United, Glory Glory Man United and the REDS GO MARCHING ON ON ON!!! That's what we do, brush ourselves down and keep it moving. It's been a stop start new Premier League season, and us Manchester United supporters have been getting an earful from opposing fans. It's ok because we have to take the rough with the smooth. At the moment we look soft at the back like the centre of a Rolo.
One game doesn't make a season, it does however make the butt of all jokes for the week. Will United make the top four? Yes. Are we going about it the right way? No.I believe in what Van Gaal is trying to do, heck the guy has a proven track record. To put things into perspective, yes Moyes has a better opening season track record compared to Van Gaal. But in the end we finished 7th, with no Champions League football. You know how hard it is to occupy your Tuesday and Wednesday night when your team ain't playing(going to ask my brothers who are Liverpool supporters, they're veterans with advice from past five years).
I said it once, twice, three times during the transfer window.Lets go get Ron Vlaar from Aston Villa,he's proven quality defender and is in the last year of his contract. Villa would have accepted £9 million for a player in the last year of his contract. I think just one "experienced" head is needed for that backline, this way the best of the young players will shine. This would also help De Gea as he's still one of the best goalkeepers in the world, but sure he also likes another vocal person in defence. Again Vlaar would provide this, moving from a mid table team to a world renowned team he will leave everything on the pitch week in week out. The likes of Luke Shaw x Smalling x Jones being injured hasn't help, but thats all part of the game.
Right now I may need to call my guy Ray Donovan, to help the situation at the back at Old Trafford. Don't think this issue is going to continue for long, understand that people saying we need to get bodies in. But When Phil Neville says "United need to spend another £100 million to challenge for the title", were you interviewed upside down or something? We don't need to spend that amount of money at all. We needed new players at the club for some time now, we've bought one player here, two players there. However first summer we've spent money on six in what feels like forever (last time was 2003 when we brought in more than 3 players in one window).
The quality is there for all to see, we're scoring goals and the tempo of the play has increased speed wise majorly. The time is here for the likes of Jones, Smalling and Evans to become the gladiators of the stature Rio and Vidic were of recent times.Van Gaal would have bought a few central defenders if he didn't believe these guys couldn't handle the pressure week in week out of playing for Manchester United. Personally I think Jones and Smalling would be the ideal centre pairing. Jones just needs to find the balance in reading his game more, which would prevent him from being on the injury list so often. Smalling just needs to believe in himself more and show he deserves to be selected. I'm happy to wait and be patient while the new look side takes shape. When we get to were we are meant to be lord help the people who've been quick to joke at my expense. I'll look for you, will find you (got your mobile numbers) and I will gloat in your face until you want to support Manchester United.
