This video is very disturbing, I must pay homage to Yasiin (Mos Def) for the willingness to do this. How many of us can really say we'd put our body through this to send a firm message to the wider world? This is more than music. 

Sports: Football + Politricks

Brazil + The World Cup = Genius. Makes sense the country to win it the most, is now the host for the 2014 World Cup. When the news officially broke out I thought of Women, Sun, Women, Sea, Women, Football in Brazil (Don't judge my honesty please ha!). 

It's the country that gave us the best footballer ever in Pele. Two of the best footballers in the modern era in Ronaldo and Ronaldinho. This is a Football/Soccer fans dream to experience the greatest show on earth in Brazil.

Good needs Bad in order to tell the difference between the two. Stories that the stadiums may not be ready in time have clouded the preparations for the tournament. Brazil as lush of a country it is, has always been associated with poverty etc.... we all know about the favelas. I haven't personally been there but the media love to highlight that part of such a beautiful country. This video was posted on Facebook by my boy Afro and had me thinking about the plans I made relating to going Brazil for the first time in 2014.

Fair to say, it's bigger than football. This country deserves more from it's government.
