Music Video: Ice Kid x Chip - Where's Ice Kid At

Easily one of the biggest highlights of this year's RedBull Culture Clash for those of us who attended live, was to see the appearance of Grime's lyrical Unicorn (you lost that crown Wiley as you now show up haha) Ice Kid. When he touched down on the stage and people who knew about Ice recognised him on the big screen, the O2 went bonkers.

Thankfully that wasn't a one and done appearance from the kid, and we now have a new video featuring the ying to his yang Chip and also a new 9 track EP Ice Kid-11. You wait for one piece of new music and he bless us with all this, I cannot wait to check the EP out.

#TBT: Chipmunk - Who Are You?

Kind of feels like Chip day, as posted the video for he's latest video "Feeling Myself". This is were it all started in regards to nationwide acknowledgement. Then 16 year old mc called Chipmunk just blazed the scene with his bars and work rate. So thought I'd throw it back to Chip's first televised video for the crowd pleaser "Who Are You?". Blink and you miss my milli milli second cameo at 2:23 hahahahahaha.

Chip x Kano x Wretch 32 - Feeling Myself

This might just be my favourite video in Chip's career so far. Like the fact it was just all off the cuff and realy made me focus on what these high calibare MCs were actually saying. Damn some of the wordplay on this track are nice. So check out this video which was a collaboration with KFC and was shot during a one hour lunch break, check it out. I promise there is no product placement of KFC boxes, as that would make it look cheap. Also check out the latest release from Chip http://smarturl.it/chipbelieve

Audio: Chip x Kano x Wretch 32 - Feeling Myself

Your name is Chip, and you find a beat and you add Kano and Wretch 32. The outcome is some pretty sharp witty punchlines, in the form of Feeling Myself.

Skepta - Nasty (Devilman Diss) x Devilman - Skepta Diss

Well this is warming up nicely, the latest twist in what started here. Sees Skepta reply with no warning what so ever. What I think is the ultimate disrespect, is not only what is said but the fact he just sits there throughout the whole 2:24 minutes. For all we know he could be on his iPad catching up on Empire.
Fair play to Devilman he doesn't miss a beat, as he recorded a response within hours of Skepta's reply. Seems like blue is the in thing for videos nowadays. Another clash maybe?

Well That Escalated Quickly........

Tinie spoke and that's what triggered everything. So it all began when Chip when to 1Xtra and done this. Which lit social media up and then later lead to this. All went tad bit quiet on that front, then boom Chip jumped on the Pepper Riddim and gave us this.
Where he mentioned many names likes Tinie Tempah (again), Big Narstie, Bugzy Malone, SASKilla and DJ Cameo. We knew within in time, there's going to be many responses. First up was Uncle Bass.

I honestly thought that was more than enough of a response, considering he didn't even spit ha the disrespect. But it doesn't stop there, as Narstie wasn't the only name mentioned. Oh yeah Chip also mentioned Devilman which resulted in this...
Next up SASKilla..... with Chip Off My Shoulder.
Hope you aint exhausted yet, because Bugzy also has his piece to say on the Relegation Riddim.
Stay tuned....... this isn't over yet believe me.

Interview: Big Narstie - Tells It Like It Is On Grime

If you have a voice use it, it's good to get as many opinions on the scene as possible. And what is said in this video shows that Big Narstie has come along way in the last 2-3 years. With that said he is still fully aware of "those" days when for example, it seemed the best way to get your music noticed was to have a  hot commercial famous feature. I fully appreciated what Narstie had to say given the platform and what was expected from him. Would love to hear from the likes of JME, Skepta, D Double E just to name a few, oh and of course Dizzee and Wiley.

Just incase you missed why this topic of discussion took place, here is what sparked this response from Big Narstie - Charlie Sloth x Chip.

Video: Charlie Sloth x Chip - Fire In The Booth

2015 is going to be such a great year for the scene, trust me on that. I was worried about whether 2015 would be in any shape to keep up with the year that was 2014. Once again glad Chip has got everything lined up and ready to flood the scene with music.

This reminds me of that special moment when this happened. Twitter has been going ape over this Fire In The Booth when it first aired. Stevie Wonder can see why!
