Video: HOt 97 x Diddy x Snoop - The Tip Off concert

East meets the West at the most famous arena in the world Madison Square Garden. Hot 97 teamed up with Puff and Snoop and hosted the one of the best shows anyone has seen. As big dawgs of the game (no pun intended), the obviously made a few calls and got some friends to stop by, I mean it's All-Star Weekend in New York City, who wouldn't answer such a  phone call......

Interview: The Combat Jack Show - J.Cole Edition

Again big up Combat Jack, for once again proving why his show is the reason the idea "podcast" was created. I love this show and as a fan of the Hip Hop culture, everything it stands for and the nuggets of knowledge and history it provides. So with that said......

J. Cole details the inspiration behind '2014 Forest Hills Drive', his battle with expectations, wanting to sign Kendrick Lamar when they first met and his thoughts regarding the shots-ridden "Control" verse. Cole also talks the hip hop culture shift that inspired "Fire Squad", consciously staying out of Drake's lane while creating his own, what happened that eventful night with Diddy, visiting Ferguson, his new outlook on life and how he became a voice of his generation. #ThrowbackThursday: Bad Boy Rap Edition

Now I've already done a #TBT for The Notorious B.I.G. x Ma$e, but it's only right I who respect to the house that shared them to the world.

Bad Boy Entertainment/Records will always hold a few chapters in the history book of Rap music and the Hip hop culture. Classics is a word thrown around at any given chance, some justifiable and some just plain all on board the bandwagon train.

The house the Puff built has given us classic that has stood the test of time, and even now when they drop in a club people just forget their worries and do what Puff always demanded and "just dance".

I mean think about it, the Puff Daddy x Hype Williams collaborations with the videos were two things 1. big budget 2. larger than life.

So i'm gonna dedicate this thursday to just some of the classics Bad Boy has given us in the world of hip hop. As easy as it is to just make it all Biggie (trying my hardest not to), I'm gonna showcase the Bad Boy hits.

P.S. These videos will take you to a place that makes you smile with happy memories!

Movie : Life After Death

The Notorious B.I.G. was shot and killed on March 9, 1997, two weeks later his album Life After Death was released and went on to sell over 10 million records. Ten years later, Life After Death The Movie chronicles the music family he left behind from 1997-2007 in an epic story of friendship and betrayal. After B.I.G.'s death, his right hand man, D-Roc, manages Lil' Kim and Junior Mafia through a decade of triumph and tragedy as they live, work and travel the world together ending with the infamous HOT 97 New York City radio station shootout that landed Lil' Kim and D-Roc in Federal Prison and labeled their former friends as snitches. This true story is told solely from never-seen video footage shot from the crew themselves and takes us through the "golden age" of New York hip hop with vintage footage of the hip hop's biggest stars from Diddy, The Lox, Mase, Jay-Z and more. Includes footage of the HOT 97 shootout with an end-all exclusive interview with D-Roc, who refused to testify in Lil Kim's perjury trial for his alleged involvement in the shootout and until now, declined to be interviewed. Narrated by Jamie Hector aka Marlo Stansfield of The Wire.
